New Arrivals

Hi everyone! I should have posted this about a week ago but I have been sick and, as a result, a lot of things got pushed back until I got better.  I am still not 100% but I have recovered enough to rejoin the land of the living so hopefully you will be hearing more from me than you have been lately.

In a recent  post, I wrote about Juniper Moon Farms and how Susie Gibbs and her flock of sheep and goats inspired by new Sheep to Sweater Charm Necklace. And I mentioned that I was going to name the sheep and goat in the charms after the first lamb and kid born at Juniper Moon Farms this year.

Well, about a  week ago Susie posted on her blog that the first new arrivals have arrived and that one of her sheep, Cassiopeia, had given birth to twin lambs! (You can see more pictures of the adorable new additions here and here) This year’s lambs are being named after Downtown Abbey characters so these little ones have been named Bates and Anna. (Isn’t that adorable!? I can’t wait to see a little lamb named after Mr. Carson!)

First off, I want to say “Congratulations!” to Susie and “Welcome” to Bates and Anna (and to the two little ones who arrived today)! I hope the rest of lambing season goes this smoothly!

But secondly, I need your help making a decision.  I wasn’t planning on twins and I don’t know which one arrived first so I am not sure which name to use for my sheep charm. I thought I would let you guys help me decide.

Take a look at this face and then tell me if you think it is more of a Bates or more of an Anna.

About Ciarrai

Hi. My name is Kerry but here online I tend to go by the Gaelic version of my name, Ciarrai. I am a woman in my mid-30's who lives on Long Island, NY, with my husband, Rob, several guitars, a Nikon D40, more yarn, beads and books than I care to admit to and a cat who has a million nicknames and quite a few theme songs. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have recently returned to college to pursue a teaching degree so that I can eventually get a job as a High School English teacher. In addition to my major obsessions (Reading, Beading, Knitting, Music and Photography), I also enjoy playing Board Games, going to Renaissance Faires, Museums and Broadway Musicals.
